ARTreach Institute
ARTreach supports the advancement and training of teaching artists to be qualified to work in specialized fields of community service supporting children at risk, special needs groups, seniors and the fragile elderly and/or in general community presentations. Community Roster Artists are trained and approved to work in the field through the ARTreach Institute Artist and Volunteer Training program. For an advanced and professional artist to be contracted to support an ARTreach Program requires artist's program review and inclusion on our roster. Teaching Artists are approved to work in the field of health and human services by ARTreach Community Service Directors. Educational content and delivery standards assured by an ARTreach board reveiw process.
Become an ARTreach Teaching Artist and train in your field
Professional Teaching Artists are invited to submit proposals. Training for ARTreach requires 20 piloted hours in controlled studio situations and documented successful teaching and delivery methods for targeted neglected populations. Young Audiences or TCA approved touring roster listing, state or or national recognition a plus. Back ground screenings and orientation for professional artists, musicians and dance teachers are required. Intern and volunteer applications are available upon request.
ARTreach Programs adhere to low student teacher ratios to support higher impact and to provide the attention the children need to be successful. Limited open enrollment is offered to PK- 12 art students interested in participating in practice courses offered at the ARTreach Institute to support training.
